Assam down town University hosted an insightful guest lecture organized by the Directorate of Career Advancement to provide Optometry students with valuable industry knowledge, career prospects, and insights into ongoing advancements in the field, featured Mr. sreejit sarkar, National Training Manager at Lenskart.com, as the distinguished guest speaker.

The session, titled "Insights from the Optometry Industry: Career Opportunities After Completing an Optometry Course and Ongoing Advancements in the Field," aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by offering students a practical understanding of the evolving landscape in optometry. 

The event commenced with a warm welcome by KIRANJEET BARMAN, Placement Officer, who introduced the objective of the lecture and provided an overview of the guest speaker’s accomplishments. Following this, Dr. Abhijit Dutta, Dean of the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, and Dr. Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Associate Director (i/c), Directorate of Career Advancement, felicitated the guest speaker, acknowledging his expertise and contribution to the field.
