Assam down town University, through its Directorate of Students Affairs, successfully organized an expert talk on May 16, 2025, titled “Pursuing Career in Higher Studies and Research in Europe” at Auditorium-II, AdtU Campus. 

The session was led by Dr. Akash Deep Biswas, who shared his inspiring personal journey from India to becoming a distinguished researcher in Europe. Dr. Biswas provided comprehensive guidance on critical aspects such as university selection, admission procedures, crafting effective Statements of Purpose, and securing prestigious scholarships including Erasmus Mundus and DAAD. He also shed light on navigating the visa process, emphasizing important documentation and timelines. Highlighting the rich academic environment and interdisciplinary research opportunities across European countries, Dr. Biswas encouraged students to explore platforms like EURAXESS for fellowships and research openings. 

The talk concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where Dr. Biswas addressed student concerns on language challenges, job prospects, cultural adaptation, and the importance of prior research experience. This informative and motivating event proved invaluable for students eager to pursue advanced studies and research careers abroad.
