Assam down town University’s Directorate of Career Advancement, in collaboration with Toastmasters International, successfully organized the Area Level International Speech Contest. The event was graced by Toastmaster Diwakar Mittal, Area Director, Division A, District 124 of Toastmasters International, who attended as the chief judge for the contest.

The competition featured prepared speech deliveries by contestants, who presented thought-provoking topics, evaluated by the chief judge, contest chairperson, and other role players from Toastmasters. The event witnessed remarkable performances, showcasing exceptional oratory and leadership skills.

The contest results were as follows:
First Position – TM Nishchal Chettri
Second Position – TM Sonu Kumar
Third Position – TM Bardan Limbo

The first and second-place winners will advance to the Division Level Toastmasters Contest in Siliguri, representing their area.

Adding to the celebration, Toastmaster Diwakar Mittal honored outstanding toastmasters with the prestigious “Triple Crown” badge, recognizing individuals who achieved three or more educational milestones within a Toastmasters year. The badge recipients from AdtU’s MBA department included Sonu Kumar, Upama Sarma, Nafisa Rahman, Nawang Dondup, Nishchal Chettri, and Bardan Limbo, applauding their exceptional leadership and public speaking abilities.

The event was an engaging and dynamic display of articulate speech delivery, leadership, and communication prowess. The contest concluded with Toastmaster Diwakar Mittal highlighting the essence of Toastmasters activities in nurturing leadership and public speaking skills.
