AdtU Alumni Interaction Programme Empowers Students with Insights on Social Media-Driven Career Opportunities

Assam down town University recently hosted the Alumni Interaction Programme, organized by the AdtU Alumni Association in collaboration with the Faculty of Science. 

The event was initiated with a warm welcome by Mr. Sonu Kumar, Apprentice at the Alumni Association, who introduced the purpose of the gathering. The programme was graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Partha Pratim Kalita, Dr. Surjya Loying, PhD, Dr. Samannoy Baruah, Director of the Alumni Association and Ms. Gouri Acharjee, Alumni Coordinator. They formally felicitated the Guest of Honour, Ms. Megha B., with a traditional Fulaam Gamusa and a memento. 

Dr. Samannoy Baruah welcomed the guest and emphasized the significance of alumni interactions in inspiring students, also extending his gratitude to the Faculty of Science for their continuous support in hosting such initiatives. Ms. Megha Baruah expressed her heartfelt thanks to the university and delivered an insightful talk on "Unlocking Job Opportunities through Social Media." Drawing from her personal journey, she highlighted the role of platforms like LinkedIn in transforming the job search process. Her session offered actionable advice, ranging from profile optimization and content sharing to using professional tools and apps for job hunting. 

The session proved to be highly enriching, equipping students with the confidence and skills to navigate modern career paths through social media.
