Assam down town University Alumni Association, in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing, organized an engaging Alumni Interactive Session.
The event commenced with the hosting by Mr. Sonu Kumar, Apprentice, Directorate of Alumni Affairs,AdtU who warmly introduced the guest of honor, Ms. Zulanbeni C. Kithan, an alumnus of the 2017-19 batch and currently the Principal cum Assistant Professor at North East Christian University, Nagaland in the presence of Dr. Samannoy Baruah Director of the Directorate of Alumni Affairs, Prof. (Dr.) Nirmali Gogoi (Ph.D), Associate Dean, Faculty Research and Innovation Cell (FRIC)FON, Prof. N. Monika , Associate Dean of Academics (FON), Ms. Lakhimi Gogoi, Principal (SMSON).
Dr. Samannoy Baruah and Prof. (Dr.) Nirmali Gogoi delivered the welcome speeches, expressing gratitude for Ms. Zulanbrni Kithan’s presence and setting the stage for an engaging session. She emphasized the growing need for skilled nursing professionals in various healthcare sectors and highlighted new roles emerging due to advancements in medical technologies and patient care systems. She also touched upon how postgraduate education and continuous learning can broaden career prospects, discussing her own experiences and career journey since graduating from AdtU.
Students asked questions about specialized options, career development, and foreign nursing prospects during an engaging Q&A session that brought the event to an end. With insightful information on the future of nursing and motivation for students to pursue creative career paths, the workshop proved to be a rewarding experience for all those in attendance.
