Assam down town University marked the 77th Republic Day with great pride and patriotic fervour through a well-structured ceremony, under the able organization of the Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. 

The celebrations began with the Guard of Honour, followed by the Flag Unfurling Ceremony and the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, setting a dignified tone for the morning. The occasion was further enriched by the inspiring address of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) N. C. Talukdar, whose words reflected the spirit of the Constitution, unity, and national responsibility. 

A major highlight of the celebration was the March Past Competition, where discipline met determination, and the Faculty of Science emerged as the winners, impressing everyone with their synchronized movements, sharp coordination, and unwavering team spirit. The cultural programme added colour and emotion to the event, followed by the prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging excellence and participation.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Abhijit Kalita, Associate Dean, Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, AdtU and the State Anthem, leaving behind a strong sense of pride, togetherness, and respect for the nation’s democratic values.
