Assam down town University, through the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, successfully observed the 6th National Pharmacovigilance Week 2026, centred on the theme, “Promoting Rational Use of Medicines through Pharmacovigilance – A Step Towards Safer Healthcare.” 

As part of the week-long observance, the Faculty organised an Essay Writing Competition and an Awareness Program on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), engaging the community on the importance of drug safety, rational use of medicines, and timely reporting of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs). 

At Assam down town University, the week-long observance was a step towards creating greater awareness about responsible medicine use and safer healthcare. As we conclude National Pharmacovigilance Week 2026, let’s continue to promote informed choices, report adverse drug reactions, and work together towards a safer and healthier community.
