5th National Conference Held on “Workforce Development: Building Resilience and Retaining Talent in Today’s Health Care” with Expert Talks and Magazine Launch

Assam down town University successfully organized the 5th National Conference on the theme “Workforce Development: Building Resilience and Retaining Talent in Today’s Health Care”.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome note by Ms. Kritika Angela Tirkey, a 2nd-year M.Sc. Nursing student, Faculty of Nursing, AdtU. The theme was unveiled by Prof (Dr)Manashi Sengupta, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, AdtU, followed by an address from the Co-Patron, Prof. (Dr.) N.C. Talukdar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AdtU. During the ceremony, the fourth edition of the college magazine ‘Episteme’ was also released. 

The scientific sessions began shortly thereafter, featuring keynote talks by leading professionals in the field. Ms. Sai Bala Madathil, Nursing Director at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, spoke on “Strategic Workforce Planning and Skill Development.” Dr. Bornali Das, Senior Lecturer of Psychiatric Social Work, Dept. of Psychiatry, GMCH, Guwahati, addressed “Talent Resilience and Well-being Among Health Care Professionals.” Mr. Aniruddha Banerjee, Associate Vice President HR & IR at Peerless Hospital & B.K. Roy Research Center, Kolkata, spoke on “Talent Retention through Engagement, Recognition and Career Pathways.” A post-test form was distributed to measure knowledge gained from the sessions.
