Assam down town University organised SPOTLIGHT - Photography and Videography Competition as part of LUMOS 2026 under the Techno Management Fest 2026, organised by the Faculty of Commerce and Management, the on-the-spot competition witnessed the participation of 21 students, including 15 participants from outside AdtU.

Based on the theme “Let Your Lens Do the Talking,” the competition encouraged participants to capture the vibrant energy, activities, interactions and memorable moments of the fest through their creative perspectives. The challenge provided a practical platform for students to showcase their photography and videography skills while exploring creative framing, composition, lighting, perspectives and visual storytelling. 

With a total prize pool of Rs.15,000, the competition also aimed to promote digital media skills, creative expression, observation and visual communication beyond the classroom. SPOTLIGHT successfully brought together aspiring visual storytellers, adding a creative and experiential dimension to LUMOS 2026 and celebrating the power of capturing stories through the lens.
