Assam down town University, through its Faculty of Engineering, organised the Robo Race Competition as part of Ecclesia 2026 under the Techno Management Fest 2026, coordinated by Dr Angshumala Talukdar, the competition provided an exciting platform for students to demonstrate their technical knowledge, creativity and practical engineering skills through robotic design and racing challenges. 

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams representing Assam Engineering College and Assam down town University. Participants navigated their robotic cars through a specially designed racing track featuring wooden obstacles and challenging sections, testing their vehicle control, technical understanding, coordination and problem-solving abilities. 

The racing track was prepared with the dedicated efforts of AdtU's first-semester Civil Engineering students, whose contribution played an important role in the successful conduct of the competition. At the conclusion, Assam Engineering College secured the First Position, while the team comprising first-semester Civil Engineering students of Assam down town University secured the Runner-up Position. 

Beyond the competitive spirit, the event offered valuable hands-on exposure to robotics, electronics, programming, mechanical systems and automation, while encouraging innovation, teamwork and practical application of engineering concepts.
