Assam down Town University in association with Gayo Fitness Academy and Transformers Fitness Academy launches its Department of Exercise Sciences. The department will cater to the need of the rapidly growing fitness, wellness and sports industry.
With a host of intelligently designed courses to suit the requirements of the industry the department will empower and equip students to handle different requirements of the merging industry.
The Diploma in Strength and Conditioning is designed for fitness professionals who want to work with sports teams, school and collegiate athletes and fitness professionals of different disciplines.
It will help them design and implement safe and effective conditioning programs for athletes, of all age groups, based on their particular needs.
1. 18 Years and above
2. Minimum 10+2
Preferences to be given to:
a. Those with sports coaching/competitive background
b. Holds Personal Trainer Certification with at least 3 years experience
Total Duration- 1 year (2 semesters), including compulsory internship (of 3 months)
Programme Fees- 30,000/- per semester
Fitness conditioning is an important and critical component for all athletes. With the increasing use of scientific methods in training, all fitness professionals, sports teams/clubs, schools, colleges and Universities are hiring qualified strength and conditioning coaches to work along with the skill development personnel. Conditioning coaches work in conjunction with sports coaches to extract the best possible performance from athletes while at the same time minimising chances of injury.
