Students with a science background can opt for a career in physiotherapy. To become a practicing physiotherapist or work in a hospital or clinic, one must have a Bachelor's degree. The course provides a basic understanding of the human body, medical sciences, therapy procedures, and related skill training. The curriculum covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, psychology, medical and surgical conditions, biomechanics, kinesiology, disability prevention, rehabilitation, and others. Practical work forms a significant part of the course, including an internship period where students work under professional supervision at various hospitals and institutions. Interpersonal skills are essential in physiotherapy as it is a patient-oriented job. A physiotherapist should have above-average analytical and logical reasoning skills, scientific reasoning, problem-solving abilities, good memory and recall of scientific facts, manual dexterity and physical stamina, patience and understanding of people, a sympathetic approach to patients, a desire to help others, levelheadedness in emergency situations, mental and emotional strength, team spirit, good observation skills, and the ability to instill confidence and courage in patients. These attributes, along with a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, are key to a successful career as a physiotherapist.

The students will be engaged in different activities headed under different clubs namely dance, music, photography, drama, literacy, etc. The students will participate in regular club activities like workshops, competitions as per their interest and hobbies. Acquire the updated knowledge of production / biophysics as well as the Physiological / therapeutics effects (at the cellular levels) of various electrical currents, Thermal agents, ultra sound & electro – magnetic forces & potential risk factors on prolonged exposure

The candidate undergoing this course shall acquire a sound knowledge of the specialised skills of the physiotherapeutic interventions with special emphasis on the respective areas of specialisation; have an updated evidence based practice, which includes evaluation, clinical reasoning, diagnosis and treatment methods. Practice within the professional code of ethics and conduct, and the standards of practice within legal boundaries.

This course introduces the students to the role of physiotherapy in the management of musculoskeletal and sports related injuries of the body. This course provides comprehensive theoretical knowledge and experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders.
