An extraordinary confluence of intellect, research and collaboration waswitnessed at hashtag#Pharmacon2.0 hosted by the Faculty ofPharmaceutical Science at Assam down town University in association withthe Center Of Research On Ethnomedicine Of Northeast India. InCollaboration With Central Ayurveda Research Institute (under CCRAS),Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Kolkata San Pedro College -Davao City Daffodil International University-DIU. Distinguished andeminent speakers and experts graced this event with their insights, such asProf. Pulok K. Mukherjee, Institute of Bio Resources and SustainableDevelopment (IBSD), Dr. Sanjay Kumar Banerjee, National Institute ofPharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Prof (Dr.) B. B. Kakoti,Professor, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh Dr. Prasenjit Manna, PrincipalScientist, CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology, Dr.Sharifa Sultana, Associate Professor, Daffodil International University-DIU Prof. Dr. S. Geetha Subramaniam, INTI International University-Malaysia Dr. Pronobesh Chattopadhyay, Scientist-F, Pharmaceutical TechnologyDivision, Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), Tezpur, Assam,Dr. A SunilKumar Reddy, Scientist-III, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., Hyderabad, JosephMari Baguilod Querequincia, Full-time Faculty and Researcher, San PedroCollege, Davao City, Philippines. Pharmacon 2.0 also brought together adiverse cohort of #520 participants from #18 states and #34 institutions,echoing the event's motto of transcending boundaries. The event featured alineup of esteemed speakers, both online and offline, with simultaneousoral, poster, and e-poster presentations. The valedictory session celebratednot only knowledge but also culture, with students from the Faculty ofPharmaceutical Science gracing the stage with their performances. Theevent concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing excellence in oral,poster, and E-poster presentations. As the curtain fell on this monumentalevent, the echoes of the national anthem lingered making the event a greatsuccess.

SUCCESS STORY ADTU PHARMACON 2019

ADTU PHARMACON 2019 a national Seminar organized by Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Assam down town university on 29th and 30th March 2019 with the theme “Advancement in health care management: traditional knowledge to contemporary drug technology”. Eminent speakers from India and abroad shared their findings and research experience during the scientific sessions. Simultaneously Poster, Oral and E-Poster presentations were also organized to create a platform for budding researchers to showcase their work and to get expert advice. Seminar focused to discuss and update the knowledge with respect to the trend setting areas like - finding new bioactive molecules from natural resources, biodiversity, antioxidant molecules role in health preservation and promotion, the key to success in life, separation quantification of phenolics by RP-HPLC techniques, natural riot control agents, synergy research etc. Eminent speakers and Guests from CSIR- NEIST - Jorhat, Oman Pharmaceutical Product LLC Co – Oman, Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences (RIPANS)–Aizwal, Defense Research Laboratory (DRDO)-Tezpur, Himalyan Pharmacy Institute (HPI)-Majhitar, Sikkim, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Institute of Pharmacy, GMC, Institute of Advanced Study in Science & Technology (IASST), Guwahati, NIPER-Guwahati, Assam shared their thoughts. We had total 538 registered delegates and out of them 140 were actively participated in different events. Student and faculty delegates from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Telengana, Karnataka has participated and/or presented paper in this seminar. A number of 32 regional as well as national level academic and research organization took part in this event. Total 44 posters, 13 oral, 64 E-posters has been presented by the participants in different scientific events of the seminar. The seminar was very much successful.
