About the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
In 2015, all member nations of the United Nations adopted 17 SDGs as a global call to action, aimed at creating a fairer, more just, and equitable world, ensuring no one is left behind. Every UN member nation is actively working towards full implementation of this agenda by 2030. Out of the 17 SDGs, goals 3, 4, 9, and 17 particularly emphasize health, education, research, development, innovation, industrialization, and global partnerships.
The field of pharmaceutical science plays a crucial role in advancing the SDGs, opening new avenues to promote sustainability and deliver better healthcare to those in need. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), commonly referred to as the Global Goals, were adopted by the UN to eradicate poverty, safeguard the planet, and secure universal peace and prosperity by 2030. Pharmaceutical Science consistently serves as an indispensable catalyst in advancing society towards the attainment of the SDGS. The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, AdtU is steadfast in its commitment to actively contribute towards achieving these goals and making a meaningful impact. To contribute to the promotion and implementation of the SDGs, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at Assam down town University in Assam, India, is hosting the third edition of its International Conference, AdtU PHARMACON 3.0
