What is this Programme about?

Presently, economic activities in the world are increasing at an increasing rate. Due to enhanced opportunities, business firms and companies are going for business expansions. New businesses are emerging on the scene. Increases in e-commerce activities have given a new platform of doing and expanding business. All business firms and companies need people with sound knowledge of business operations to cope up with the requirement of business growth and expansions. Keeping this requirement in mind, The Department of Management, Assam down town University started BBA programme in 2010.

A student can opt for this BBA programme after 10+2 education. The selection is on merit basis.

The BBA programme of Assam down town University has been designed to provide the students a beautiful blend of theoretical concepts and practical exposure. The BBA programme offers an excellent opportunity to learn professional skills early in life. The BBA is an undergraduate programme which helps a student to get a deep understanding of important managerial skills. These skills help a student to lead, properly communicate, critically think and take right decisions. Research:

The Department of Management, Assam down town Univerisity is actively engaged in research activities in different areas of management and management related social sciences since inception. The department offers scope of research to the students as PhD programme. The department has already proved its hold in research by producing a good number of quality PhD work. Again, students of both undergraduate and post graduate programs are encouraged to do research in the form of project work and thesis which are embedded in their course curriculum. The department encourages and helps the students to write research papers and undertake research oriented projects. Faculty members of the department take keen interest in research work and regularly publish research papers in national and international journals and they also present research papers in national and international seminars & conferences.
