With the rise in world wide concern over food quality and healthy living, it is but natural to expect that Food Nutrition & Dietetics would gain immense ground in recent times. Food science is garnering huge consideration and concern as science and technology is improving and bettering everyday, especially in developing countries where quality is often put aside. Health being uppermost in the minds of today’s people nutrition is intrinsically linked to food science and dietetics is gaining tremendous acceptance 

Scope : Diet plays a major role in promotion of health and well being of individual. A good and balanced diet habit improves the quality of life while poor diet may lead to morbidity and diseases. Dietetics is related to food management, nutrition is related to promotion of health. Due to changes in food habits of most of the urban population, role of nutritionists and dieticians is becoming more important. A growing and aging population will increase the demand for meals and nutritional counseling in nursing homes, community health programs, and home health care agencies.

M.Sc. in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics
Programme Duration 2 years (4 Semesters)
Eligibility Criteria Must be a B.Sc. degree holder in FND
or Home Science with science
background with minimum 50% marks.

(5% relaxation for SC/ST)
