Assam down town University has an independent placement cell to facilitate campus placements and jobs for the students. The placement cell also imparts training in soft-skills, personality development, written and, oral skills, and about overall employment trends in both public and corporate sectors.
The Placement Cell makes information available to the students about employment opportunities in India and abroad. Placement interviews are arranged in the campus as well as off campus and pool Campuses. AdtU organises the Largest Placement Drive in Northeast India every year for face to face interaction of students with various job providers across the country.
The placement committee is a body consisting of faculty and students that has been formed to interact with companies on a continuous basis to run best fit career opportunities to the students of the University. They assist in relationship building with industries/ Govt organizations for summer training, internship and final placement. It also facilitates prospective employers by organizing university industry interactions regularly thereby providing jobs to the students as well as fresh talented human capital to the industries. The cell undertakes various activities of training and grooming of students in soft skill development, personality development for interview and for GD as well as meeting with HR manager too.
